Temecula is Edison territory, on NEM 3.0 export rules and time-of-use rates that peak from 4 to 9 p.m. Under those rules, power sent back to the grid is worth very little, and power stored for the evening is worth a lot. That’s why every Temecula system we place includes a Powerwall 3.

The heat, and what it does to the size of the system
Temecula gets a coastal breeze through the Rainbow Gap that Riverside and Fontana never see, but July and August still run well into the 90s and the bills follow. Larger homes in Redhawk, Paloma del Sol, and Wolf Creek with two AC units are common, and those are $400-plus summer bills that a single-battery system covers with room to spare.
Roofs in Temecula
Temecula is almost entirely concrete tile on homes built from the 1990s on. That’s the roof these crews handle best: mounts go in with tile lifted and reset, not cut, and roof penetrations are covered for 25 years. Older homes in Old Town and the ranch properties out toward Wine Country vary, and we look before we quote.
Permits and turning it on
Permits go through the City of Temecula Building and Safety, which has a straightforward residential solar process. Rural Wine Country addresses outside the city line are Riverside County permits instead. The installation partner handles both and files the Edison interconnection.
Associations. Redhawk, Harveston, Paloma del Sol, Wolf Creek, Morgan Hill, Paseo del Sol, and most other Temecula associations require a submission. We prepare it with the roof layout, panel color, and equipment specs. California’s Solar Rights Act limits what they can refuse or how much they can add to the cost, and approvals typically come back within a few weeks.

Questions from Temecula
Will my Temecula HOA approve solar?
Almost certainly. California’s Solar Rights Act says an association can review placement and appearance but can’t refuse a system or impose conditions that cut its output or raise its cost significantly. We prepare the submission and handle the back-and-forth.
Do you serve Wine Country and the rural east side?
Yes. Addresses outside the city line permit through Riverside County rather than the City of Temecula, and larger rural properties sometimes take a ground mount instead of a roof array. Send us the bill and we’ll look.
Is Temecula too far from Fontana for service?
No. Temecula is about an hour down the 15, and it’s one of the areas we work in most. Service calls are scheduled the same week.
