If your Edison bill is over $200 a month, you’re already paying for solar. You just don’t own it yet.

Divine Gifts Solar matches Inland Empire homeowners with CSLB-licensed installers who put Q Cells panels and a Tesla Powerwall 3 on the roof for $0 upfront. Customers typically save 40% to 60% on their electricity. We’ve done this for 8 years around Fontana, and we walk you through the agreement before you sign anything.

What you’re actually signing

Most solar pitches skip this part. We start with it. These are the lines in any solar contract that decide whether it’s a good deal. Here is what ours say, and what to ask anyone else who knocks on your door.

Divine Gifts Solar, $0-down planWhat ours saysAsk any installer
  1. Money down

Sometimes called “upfront cost” or “initial payment”
What ours says$0 upfront. On a power purchase agreement you don’t buy the system at all. You buy the electricity it produces, month by month. The panels stay the property of the company that owns them.
Ask any installerIs the $0 a loan with payments starting later, or is nothing being financed at all?
  2. The rate

Look for “escalator” or “annual increase”
What ours saysWritten into your agreement before you sign. Your rate depends on your roof, your usage and the partner you’re matched with, so we don’t publish a number here. Ask to see year one and year twenty on the same page, and don’t sign until you have.
Ask any installerDoes the rate go up every year? Show me year one and year twenty side by side.
  3. Your credit

Look for “loan,” “promissory note,” or “financing agreement”
What ours saysDepends which one you choose. A power purchase agreement is not a loan and opens no new credit line. A $0-down purchase is financed, so it involves a credit check and an APR that depends on your score.
Ask any installerWill this appear as a 20- or 25-year loan on my credit?
  4. Your title

Look for “lien,” “UCC filing,” or “PACE assessment”
What ours saysAsk for it in writing. A power purchase agreement is not a mortgage and is not a PACE assessment. Financing arrangements differ between partners, and some record a notice against the property. Get the answer for your specific agreement in writing before you sign it.
Ask any installerIs this a PACE program? Will anything be recorded against my property?
  5. The warranty

Panels, inverter, battery, workmanship, and roof are often five separate terms
What ours says25 years, from the installer. Parts, workmanship and performance, provided by the partner company that installs your system, layered over Tesla’s own manufacturer warranty on the Powerwall. It is their warranty, not ours, so get the terms in writing.
Ask any installerDoes the labor warranty match the panel warranty, or does it stop at ten years?
  6. Who shows up

The company that sold it and the company that installs it are often different
What ours saysA CSLB-licensed partner company. Divine Gifts Solar is not a contractor and does not perform installation. We match you with licensed installation partners, and they pull the permits, do the work, and carry the warranty. You should check their licence at cslb.ca.gov before you sign.
Ask any installerWho actually installs this, and who do I call when something breaks?
  7. If you’d rather own it

A purchase instead of a power purchase agreement
What ours saysAvailable. A $0-down purchase is financed rather than paid for upfront, so you own the equipment and the APR depends on your credit. We put both options next to each other and tell you which one fits your bill.
Ask any installerCan I see the cash price and the financed price on the same page?

What goes on your roof

Two products and one crew. We don’t rotate brands based on what’s cheapest that month.

Q Cells solar panels

Made by Q Cells, which also owns the company that installs them

Sized to your actual usage from a recent bill. On most Inland Empire roofs that’s enough to cover the summer air-conditioning months that push your bill past $300.

  • Warranty25 years
  • Installed byA CSLB-licensed partner
  • Sized fromYour Edison bill

Tesla Powerwall 3

Battery backup, included in the $0-down plan

Stores what the panels make during the day so you use your own power in the evening, when Edison’s rates are highest. When the grid goes down in a heat wave, your fridge, lights, and AC stay on.

  • Warranty25 years, from the installer
  • Installed byA CSLB-licensed partner
  • Included in$0-down plan

Roof first, if you need it

Solar and roofing coordinated onto the same permit

Panels last 25 years. If your roof won’t, we coordinate a C-39 licensed partner to replace it before the panels go on, so nobody has to pull the system off in year twelve. Tile, shingle, and flat roofs across the region.

  • Roof leak coverage25 years
  • PermitsOne, for both
  • CrewSame as the solar

How it goes from here

Three steps. You can stop at any of them.

  1. Send us a bill

One recent Edison or SDG&E bill tells us your usage and what a system needs to cover. There’s no site visit and no salesperson yet.

  2. Two numbers, explained

Your $0-down rate and your purchase price, side by side, with what each one covers and doesn’t. We’ll say which one we’d pick for your bill.

  3. A licensed partner installs it

Your matched partner pulls the permit and does the work — roof first if you need it, then panels and the Powerwall 3. The same company services it afterward.

Before you talk to anyone about solar

We write these because the numbers decide whether solar is worth it, and most of what circulates around here is wrong. Every figure is sourced to a public filing or the utility’s own page.
